Research Overview
Epithalon (also spelled Epitalon) is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring peptide Epithalamin, which is produced by the pineal gland. Its primary mechanism of action involves the activation of telomerase, the enzyme responsible for maintaining telomere length at the ends of chromosomes. Since telomere shortening is one of the fundamental hallmarks of cellular aging, Epithalon has become a focal point in longevity research. Studies in animal models have shown that Epithalon treatment can extend telomere length, restore melatonin production, and improve various biomarkers associated with aging.
