TB-500 is the synthetic form of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a 43 amino acid acetylated peptide that is one of the most abundant intracellular proteins in nearly every mammalian cell. Tβ4 functions primarily as the principal G-actin sequestering protein in eukaryotic cells, regulating cytoskeletal dynamics that govern cell migration, proliferation and differentiation. In research models TB-500 has demonstrated consistent effects on dermal wound healing, corneal repair, cardiac tissue regeneration after ischemic insult, neuronal survival and angiogenesis.
